There are now 10 plaintiffs in a suit that alleges that prominent Corpus Christi lawyer William R. “Bill” Edwards Sr., his firm and a former attorney there committed barratry. Edwards has supported laws to curb barratry — the illegal solicitation of clients — including lobbying extensively for a 2011 law that allows people to sue for barratry.
